Humility and Wisdom
If I could break free from the ego’s grasp,
And let go of pride’s alluring clasp,
I’d find myself in the dust below,
Where humbleness and wisdom grow.
For it is not in grandeur or gold,
But in the self’s soft touch, so bold,
That true enlightenment takes its place,
And we see life with gentler grace.
The self’s illusions fall away,
Like shadows at the break of day.
Only then, with eyes anew,
I’d see the truth in all that’s due.
No longer blind to what is small,
I’d honor each and every call.
For in the ground, and the skies,
The soul finds its rightful way.
