Poetry
Time, an eternal enigma, has been the muse for poets across centuries, capturing its essence in the beauty of words. This poem delves deep into the mysteries of time, exploring its fluid nature, impact on human emotions, and impartial passage through our lives. It reflects the contrast between fleeting joy and lingering sorrow, highlighting how time’s reins often rest in the hands of destiny’s favorites. For the rest, it becomes a tale of regret for the past and fear for the future, a poignant narrative many can relate to.
Let’s explore this masterpiece that resonates with life’s transient yet impactful moments.
Once there was a time, and now there is another,
With all its shortcomings, imperfections, and joys.
Time carries its unique accounts of sorrow and happiness.
Sometimes, the days grow long, and the nights short.
At other times, days shorten, and nights stretch endlessly.
Sometimes, time seems so sluggish,
As if it stands still for ages.
And then there are moments when its pace is ecstatic,
Galloping away on the horse of the wind.
This is time and its reins
Rest in the hands of the fortunate.
Otherwise,
The ill-fated often
Clasp their hands in regret over bygone days,
And remain ever fearful of the coming tomorrow.
In their present despair,
They blame time itself,
Complaining intermittently.
