Innocence to introspection: My Tear in the Ocean

The first time I went to the sea,

I had not seen the ocean.

I picked colorful shells on the shore.

The second time I saw the ocean,

I was frightened by its vastness.

And the last time I saw the ocean,

I neither picked shells, Nor was I afraid.

Instead, I dropped a tear into the ocean

And laughed, Asking,

“Tell me, who’s bigger, you or my tear?”
